My husband, Calvin, and I have been married for over 15 years. We live near Sperry with our daughters Lizzie and Lilah. We recently moved to our property, and we are loving living out in the country! I earned my English Education degree from Northeastern State University back in 2003 and promptly began my first teaching job at Skiatook High School. I taught for a while, then I was lucky enough to stay at home with my children for a few years. I'm thrilled to be back at work, doing what I love most! My students quickly find out that my love for English isn't the only reason I teach. Yes, I've been known to geek out over the etymology of a word or get misty-eyed over a story we're reading, but mostly I love my job because of my students! There's nothing better than inspiring a lifelong love for learning. I hope my students can see that I truly care about them, and my dearest wish is that they continue on as successful learners and positive members of society. Let's have a great year! |
